     Hainan Jinhai Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. is the super-large pulp & paper company established by APP China in China's Mainland. Located in Hainan Yangpu Economic Development Zone, the Company covers an area of 8000 mu, with a total investment of RMB10.5 billion for the first-phase project. Jinhai was officially put into production in Mar. 28, 2005, mainly producing chemically bleached sulfate eucalyptus pulp under the brand "Longtou". The second-phase papermaking project, with a total investment of RMB13.6 billion and an annual production capacity of 1.6 million tons, was officially launched on Mar. 29, 2007 and put into production in succession in 2010.
    The pulping line of Jinhai Pulp & Paper in its first- phase project is so far the largest single pulping line with the most advanced technologies in the world. Besides the state-of-the-art production techniques and technologies, the main equipment adopted products of the globally renowned professional manufacturer, representing the top level of the pulp & paper industry worldwide.
    The second-phase project of Jinhai, in line with the development direction of forest-pulp-paper integration as encouraged by the government, not only simplifies production process and improved comprehensive benefits of an enterprise, but also brings great economic and social benefits to local community, for example, by offering working opportunities to over 2000 people and stimulating the development of transportation and catering business. Finally, it may accelerate the economic development of Yangpu and even Hainan Province at large.
    Adhering to the operation philosophy of ¡°Planting trees and forests to benefit nature, making pulp and paper to benefit people", Jinhai achieves common and sustainable development of economic, social and ecological benefits through ¡°Eco-friendly forest plantation, environment-friendly pulping and green papermaking". The company solemnly promises that it bans the purchase of any wood from virgin forests and requires the pulping plant to remove any wood of high-value tropical forests from its supply chain.
     Jinhai has invested RMB 2.7 billion in pollution treatment. Besides reclaiming the wastes in production process for comprehensive use, the company also brings in advanced treatment equipment for waste gas, waste water and solid wastes as well as pollution-proof production process. Jinhai implements strict management and control in daily production, in order to ensure all discharges after treatment finally reach or even go beyond Class I discharge standards of China. In May 2006, Jinhai passed ISO14001 Environmental Management System Certification. In Jun. 2006, the first-phase project passed the examination and acceptance by the State Environmental Protection Administration. To help with the establishment of a resource-saving and environment-friendly society, Jinhai, as the first pilot enterprise in the cleaner production examination of Hainan Province, set up a "Working Team of Cleaner Production Examination". The team organized and completed the "Examination Report on Clean Production" with efforts according to the ¡°Cleaner Production Promotion Law of the PRC¡± and the "Implementation Measures of Cleaner Production Examination". The company passed the clean production examination and acceptance of Hainan Provincial Government on Dec. 28, 2010 and was granted the honorable title of "China Environment-friendly Enterprise" in May 2010.
    In terms of corporate management, Jinhai introduces some advanced tools like 6-Sigma and CTR to daily management, which improve corporate management efficiency and help it pass ISO9001 International Quality Management System Certification in Sept. 2005. In Aug. 2007, the company passed OHSAS18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification. It passed PEFC/COC Certification in Mar. 2009 and was awarded China Environmental Labeling (II) Product certificate in Dec. 2010.
